1 – FILLING THE APPLICATION.

it will be done personally or by representative, properly authorised and by appointment made in the Spanish consulate of the country where the foreigner resides.

2 – REQUIREMENTS AND DOCUMENTS (IN THE SAME ORDER).

  1. An application form
  2. A recent colour photo with white background
  3. National identification document from your origin country, original and photocopy of all the pages, and a translation to Spanish.
  4. Passport, at least valid for the following year.
  5. Photocopy of the pages of the Passport that include information (stamps/ visas).
  6. Certificate of criminal record (antecedents), or equivalent document, in case of applicant’s majority of age. This has to be provided by the authorities of the origin country and/or the country where the applicant has resided for the last three years, translated a legalized (original and photocopy). This document has validity for 3 months.
  7. Have a private or public health insurance with an authorised company in Spain (original and photocopy).
  8. Documents that prove having enough financial resources for the maintenance during the residential time in Spain, including their family (in case there is), without necessity of developing any work or professional activity.
    The minimum amount for 2019 is 2.130,04€ per month (400% of “IPREM” monthly index), increased in 532,51€ per month for every family member that comes with the applicant.
  9. Prove that the acquirement of the property or properties by the applicant has been for a minimum value of 500.000€ by certificate of ownership and charges from the Landlord Registry that corresponds to the property.
    If in the moment of the application the property acquisition is proceeding to be registered in the Land Registry, will be enough the submission of the mentioned certificate that states the validity of registration of the acquisition document, along with an accrediting document of the corresponding payment of the taxes. The certificate should be dated in the previous 90 days of filling the application.
  10. For the family of the applicant/s, in addition to the above, they have to prove their marriage or filiation with the marriage certificate or birth certificate, translated and with legalization of the Spanish Embassy or The Hague apostille

3 – ADITIONAL DOCUMENTS, REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION.

  • The visa applications will be solved and notified in the term of 10 days.
  • The General Consulate reserves the right to require any other additional documents that considers necessary.
  • The deadline to meet the requirements and documents is 10 working days.
